Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon
In a Kaiju-filled Japan, Kafka Hibino works in monster disposal. After reuniting with his childhood friend Mina Ashiro, a rising star in the anti-Kaiju Defense Force, he decides to pursue his abandoned dream of joining the Force, when he suddenly transforms into the powerful "Kaiju No. 8." Shigeyuki Miya
Shigeyuki Miya (宮 繁之, Miya Shigeyuki, November 14, 1975) is a Japanese anime director, animator, and character designer. He is also known by the pen name Ittou Sara (更 一灯, Sara Ittō). Shigeyuki joined Studio Dean in 1999. He is currently often involved in Madhouse, Brain's Base and MAPPA productions.

This movie has its moments and some good performances. 'Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon' is watchable and reasonably entertaining, though it's not going to be anyone's favorite film.

This is a fairly enjoyable movie with some good elements. 'Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon' has its strengths, though it's not without flaws. It's a decent way to spend a couple of hours.
